The Rosselkhoznadzor has started inspection of Belarusian producers of mushrooms

The Rosselkhoznadzor from 30 July began a review of enterprises–producers of mushrooms in Belarus due to suspicions of re-export of products to the territory of Russia, said in a statement on the Agency’s website.

Earlier in July, the Rosselkhoznadzor reported that the Russian service took a decision to introduce from July 24 to ban on the supply of mushrooms from Belarus to Russia. The decision was taken after the detection of the Polish labelling on the packages of mushrooms from Belarus under the control of the Russian-Belarusian border. It is planned that the ban will apply to the inspection of Belarusian producers.

The Rosselkhoznadzor addressed the Belarusian side with a request to investigate this fact. According to the Russian Ministry, the import of mushrooms from Belarus to 2017, amounted to 10,674 thousand tons in 2018 as of July 19 — 8,212 thousand tons.

«On 30 July 2018… Russian authorities have begun to examine producers of champignon mushrooms in the territory of the Republic of Belarus», — stated in the message.

Last week representatives of the Ministry of agriculture and food of Belarus held in Moscow negotiations with the Rosselkhoznadzor with the aim of resolving the situation with the supply from the Republic of the mushrooms on the Russian market. Prior to that, Deputy Director of the Belarusian state Inspectorate for seed production, quarantine and plant protection Alexander Pavlovich has told RIA Novosti that the Ministry is ready to cooperate with Russian colleagues to resolve the situation, including the make, if necessary, on the enterprises, who supply mushrooms to Russia.
