The Ukrainian flag will never rise over the sea or over the Crimea — Kiev authorities should stop speculation on the subject of the Russian status of the Peninsula, said the Vice-speaker of the Crimean Parliament Efim Fix.

The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko in day of Yalta wished over the city and across Crimea were waving the Ukrainian flag. Yalta celebrates city day on the second Saturday of August, in 2018, this date is August 11.

«Never Ukrainian flag will not be developed a priori, nor on the sea nor over the Crimea. Let Poroshenko is Ukraine. The months that he stayed on as President, even if he does his own thing and not interfere in our Affairs. Yalta celebrates the city, and all will be well», — told RIA Novosti Fix.

According to him, Kiev authorities should stop interfering in Russia’s internal Affairs and to speculate on the Russian status of Crimea.

Crimea became a Russian region after held there in March 2014 referendum in which 96.77% of voters of the Republic of Crimea and 95.6% of residents of Sevastopol voted for joining Russian Federation. Crimean authorities held a referendum after a coup in Ukraine in February 2014. Ukraine still considers Crimea its but temporarily occupied territory. The Russian leadership has repeatedly stated that the inhabitants of Crimea democratically in full compliance with international law and the UN Charter voted for reunification with Russia. According to the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, the Crimea issue «is closed permanently.»
