Police for 20 days revealed the 50 drivers who had driven the bus in a state of alcoholic intoxication, said Saturday the head of the national police of Ukraine Sergey Knyazev.

According to him, militiamen continue to carry out comprehensive measures under the conditional name «Carrier». In particular, as of August 10, police examined more than 64 thousand vehicles and found almost 1.5 thousands of technically faulty vehicles, which are used for the carriage of passengers.

«Almost 20 days of such preventive measures, the police found 12.8 thousand violations of law committed by drivers-carriers of passengers. Already identified 50 drivers who drove the bus in an alcohol intoxication. We will continue such measures to combat road accident», — quotes Knyazeva press service of the interior Ministry.

Lately in Ukraine there have been a number of major road traffic accident with a minibus, which injured citizens of Russia, citizens of Belarus and Georgia. After high-profile accidents, the police made a check to haulers and decided to return the speed control on the roads.
