The interests of all parties in the subsoil use and laying of pipelines taken into account in the Convention on the Caspian sea, told RIA Novosti the Minister of foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Kayrat Abdrakhmanov.

«Caspian multi-faceted issues and, primarily, affected the territorial issues, the resolution of which depends on the cooperation of coastal States in various industries, including the oil and gas sector. The Convention takes into account the interests of all parties, in the exercise of sovereign rights for subsoil use, as well as laying of submarine cables and pipelines», — said Abdrakhmanov in an interview with RIA Novosti.

He noted that «freedom of transit by all means of transport, the Convention opens up opportunities for the development of road, rail, marine and pipeline infrastructure coastal States».

«I am confident that our wealth of transit-transport potential of our countries will contribute to the transformation of the Caspian sea in important international logistics hub with a developed infrastructure and a high level of interaction with international transport», — said the Minister.

The presidents of the five coastal States (Russia, Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan) will meet in Aktau on August 12 to summarize many years of negotiations on the legal status of the Caspian sea summit will be preceded by a meeting of foreign Ministers of the Caspian States scheduled for August 11.
