The U.S. Embassy in Russia expresses its concern about the health of the convicted person in Russia for terrorism, the Ukrainian Director Oleg Sentsov and asks for his release on humanitarian grounds.

«We remain seriously concerned over the deteriorating condition of Oleg Sentsov. Urge Russia to release Sentsov and other Ukrainian prisoners on humanitarian grounds», — is spoken in the message of Embassy on Twitter.

Sentsov was sentenced by the court to 20 years on charges of organizing terrorist acts in the Crimea. This sentence to ten years in prison he was also convicted an accomplice of Sentsov, Alexander Kolchenko. Two more defendants in the case, Alexey Chirny and Gennady Afanasiev, received seven years in prison. In mid-may Sentsov went on hunger strike.
