The proportion not meeting the standards of regional roads in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous area will be reduced to 10% by 2021, now the figure is 16%, said the Governor of Ugra Natalia Komarova.

The head of the region noted that at the present time on the territory of Autonomous district, 20% of Federal highways and 16% of trails regional level do not meet the standards. According to Komarova, the order of the President of Russia, according to which, by 2023 the number of inappropriate roads should be reduced to 10%, «will be fulfilled in time».

«The plans we laid out and fixed in the state program of development of transport system… give reason to predict that by January 1, 2021, if we talk about regional roads, we enter into standard, including on municipal roads», — said the Governor of Ugra reporters after a working visit to Nizhnevartovsk.

She also noted that the regional authorities intend to continue the construction of new highways and to overhaul the existing road network. «Over the years, we will repair more than 330 kilometers, and construct more than 100 kilometres of new roads,» — said the head of the Autonomous district.

At the end of 2017 profile the former head of the regional Department Valery Pamagin reported that during the year in Ugra was refurbished 150 km of roads amounting to about 2.6 billion rubles.
