The volume of trade turnover of Russia with the Caspian States is constantly growing, the countries of the Caspian sea will pay attention to the development of regional trade, said Russian President Vladimir Putin.

During the meeting of the Caspian summit, he noted that according to the results it is planned to sign six relevant agreements in the fields of economy, transport, security. According to him, Russia is focused on joint working vigorously to implement them with all Caspian countries.

«In particular, on the basis of the agreement on economic cooperation on the Caspian, priority will be given to capacity-regional trade and economic ties and deepen the close and mutually beneficial cooperation», — Putin said.

«I note that the volume of Russian trade with the Caspian States is constantly growing. So, in 2017 the foreign trade turnover increased by more than 20% and amounted to $ 22 billion, and in January-may this year it was up by more than 10%», — he added.

Putin stressed that Russia is a Caspian sea countries to focus on efforts in the field of digital technology, actively introduce information and communication technologies, to engage in the digitalization of economic processes, logistics.
