President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has replaced the leadership of the government. The Prime Minister was the former head of the development Bank Sergei Rumas. This was reported on the website of the President.

Rumas has replaced on a post of Prime Minister Andrei Kobyakov, who had held it since 2014.

In addition, Lukashenko has made other personnel changes in the government. First Deputy Prime Minister, he appointed Alexander Turchin, who headed the Council of Ministers. Igor Lyashenko, head of the concern «Belneftekhim», became Deputy Prime Minister. He will oversee the issues formerly engaged to Vladimir Semashko, industry and energy.

Another Deputy Prime Minister appointed Vladimir Kukharev, who held the position of Chairman of the state control Committee. He will be responsible for the construction, utilities and transport.

Igor Petrishenko, Ambassador of Belarus in Russia, also became Deputy Prime Minister. He will oversee the social sphere — healthcare, education, culture and sport.

The President has also appointed several Ministers — Dmitry Mikulenas was appointed Minister of architecture and construction, the official — Minister of industry, Konstantin Shulgan — Minister of communications and Informatization Dmitry Krutoy of the Minister of economy. The Chairman of the State military-industrial Committee was Roman Golovchenko.

This was followed by personnel decisions — the President sacked two Ministers — Anatoly Black, head of the Ministry of architecture and construction, and the head of the Ministry of industry Vitaly Vovk.
