Russia and Iran are discussing the establishment of a trade route from the Crimean ports to the Caspian sea via the Volga-don canal, said the permanent representative of the Republic of Crimea under the President of the Russian Federation Georgy Muradov.

«A number of businessmen from Iran has already declared its willingness to build trade along the following route: the Crimean ports of the Volga-don canal – Volga – Caspian sea – Iran» — quoted Muradova, the newspaper «Izvestia».

The Ambassador explained that this route is the most short and economical way. Muradov added that road and rail links will also be developed with the opening of the Crimean bridge. «Trade will become even easier with the launch rail. The route for the trains is planned the following: Crimea, the North Caucasus, Azerbaijan and then to Iran,» he said.

In addition, Crimean parliamentarians will discuss the trade with Syria, visiting Damascus on 6 September fair. According to Muradova, in September will be a bilateral Crimean-Syrian Commission, will sign an agreement on establishing a joint shipping company.

«Syria also expressed a desire to open in Crimea, his trading house that we’ll discuss during the meeting in Damascus», — the politician noted.
