The head of the Crimea Sergey Aksenov announced that it would conduct an investigation into the causes of air pollution in the North of Crimea.

The maximum allowable concentration of sulphur dioxide was recorded on 4 September in Armyansk in Northern Crimea. For precautionary measures, was two weeks stopped working of the plant «Crimean Titan». Aksenov said that the reason for the imposition of state of emergency in the city, life and health threatens nothing, but all the children of Armyansk, send to have a rest in sanatoria and camps in other regions of the Crimea.

«I promise investigation as a result of this situation. The Prosecutor’s office of the Republic of Crimea jointly with the CPS now work at the plant, the plant decided to stop. The previous case of air pollution in the North of the Peninsula was recorded at the end of August. Because of the emission of pollutants 23-24 August on the roofs of houses and the leaves of the trees formed oily coating with yellow tinge. Cause of release, according to preliminary data, was the evaporation of the contents of kilocalories used by the plant «Crimean Titan» (the branch of LLC «Titanium investment»).
