Ukrainian politicians and officials secretly go to the Crimea on vacation, told RIA Novosti the head of the Committee of Parliament on health-resort complex and tourism Alexey Chernyak.

«They don’t shy away from Crimea. They quietly went, go and will go. They come, of course, not through the checkpoints in the North of Crimea, and fly via Moscow. Many officials and deputies are in Crimea, own real estate, many of them come here — and not just in the summer,» he said.

According to Cherniak, Ukrainian politicians have long understand what is happening in the Crimea and why the Crimean people decided to link their future with Russia. «Ukrainians coming to Crimea, see one picture: how the region is developing as the region is transformed in his eyes,» — he stressed.

Earlier the Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada from the «Opposition bloc» Yevhen Balitsky has told on air of TV channel NewsOne that rested in the Crimea, and found out from the locals why they voted in a referendum for joining the Peninsula in Russia.

«There are people who twist a finger at a temple and say: «What return are you? Here there?» And about Bandera talking about burnt in Odessa, about the coup. Most people — I can hand on heart put. Believe me, it’s not that (. — Approx. ed.) that I want or I do not want to think so many people,» the MP said.

Crimea became a Russian region in a referendum, which was held after a coup in Ukraine in 2014. About 97 percent of the population of the Republic of Crimea and 96 percent of residents of Sevastopol were in favor of returning the Peninsula to Russia. Ukraine still calls its Crimea, but temporarily occupied territory. According to Vladimir Putin, the Crimea issue «is closed permanently.»
