The Patriarch of Moscow and all Russia Kirill has condemned the incidents of attack by a group of teenagers to people in Tavrichesky garden in St. Petersburg, drawing attention to the danger and the destructiveness of some modern youth subcultures.

Earlier it became known about the attack group of about 20 Teens on the two men vacationing in the Tauride garden. One of them, a school teacher, the attackers broke his jaw. According to eyewitnesses, before the hoodlums attacked the man with his wife on the street Tauris and broke his nose. According to eyewitnesses, the attackers also injured a pensioner who was attacked at the bus stop. In the case were detained three teenagers.

«From modern subcultures sometimes the danger comes, first and foremost due to the fact that sometimes they are created quite destructive forces. Here is a recent precedent in Tavrichesky garden in St. Petersburg, when a group of teenagers… attacked passers-by and beating up people is absolutely unmotivated,» — said the Patriarch at the session of the Supreme Church Council.

He noted that disorderly conduct has always been, but it «was of such a nature, at least, about, still, motivation: taking money, to snatch the purse from the hands of women, or just people were in a state of alcoholic intoxication and what is called, freaking out».

«And there is absolutely no: there may be absolutely sober people, who are very cruel and are motivated by their own inner ideas and beliefs. It is clear that such actions must meet the appropriate reaction of the law enforcement bodies», — said the Primate of the Russian Church.
