The crooks stole credit card data of about 380 thousand clients British Airways website and mobile apps, the report said air carrier.

Information, except for passport data and information about the flights, were stolen from customers who have booked tickets from August 21 to September 5, inclusive.

The vulnerability that allowed hackers to steal information, has already been eliminated, according to the air carrier.

The holding company International Airlines Group that includes British Airways, is conducting an urgent investigation.

The head of British Airways Alex Cruz expressed regret for the incident and apologized to customers. «We deeply regret the violation caused by the criminal action. We take very seriously the protection of our clients ‘data» — are his words in the statement.
