China has consistently advocated the preservation of and compliance with the Joint comprehensive plan of action (SVPD) on the Iranian nuclear issue, which contributes to the maintenance of peace in the middle East, said the Vice-Chairman of the Central military Council of China Zhang Call at a meeting with Iranian defense Minister Amir Hatami.

«China is ready to work with Iran to deepen strategic mutual trust and promote relations between the two countries and armies,» said Zhang Call, quoted the defense Ministry of the PRC.

He noted that «AGREEMENT on the Iranian nuclear issue is an international agreement that is legally binding and recognized by the UN».

«The AGREEMENT contributes to maintaining peace and stability in the middle East, as well as preserving the international non-proliferation regime needed to continue its implementation, China is ready to work together with all interested parties, including Iran, to put the necessary efforts», — said the Chairman of the CMC.

Khatami, in turn, noted that «the friendship of Iran and China has a long history, and the relationship of the armed forces of the two countries have broad opportunities for development.»

«Iran is grateful to China for its constant support in the issues of Tehran’s most important interest… Iran is willing to strengthen pragmatic cooperation with China in various fields and promote the continuous development of relations between the two countries and the armed forces of the two countries,» added Khatami.

Iran and «six» of international mediators (Russia, USA, Britain, China, France, Germany) in 2015, reached an historic agreement on the settlement of the longstanding problem of the Iranian atom, was adopted by the SVPD, which relieves Iran of the economic and financial sanctions the UN security Council, US and EU.
