The head of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko was impressed with the beauty of the capital of North Korea and tenacity of citizens who, despite the sanctions, ensure the development of the state.

Earlier on Saturday, Matviyenko on the hill Mansa in Pyongyang laid flowers at statues of Kim Il sung and Kim Jong-Il, and then at the Moranbong hill — the liberation Monument (the Monument to Soviet soldiers).
