The possibility and the mechanism of compensation of losses of Belarus from the tax maneuver in Russia are discussed, the decision will be made at the highest level, told reporters on the sidelines of financial forum of the Moscow Director of tax and customs policy of the Ministry of Finance of the RF Alexey Sazanov.

In the years 2019-2024 will be completed in Russia the so-called tax maneuver in the oil industry. The essence of maneuver is the gradual increase in tax rates and zeroing of export duties. This suggests two significant implications for Belarus: rise in price of imported oil from Russia and fall of the Belarusian budget revenues from export duties.

«From the tax maneuver Belarus loses. Then I think, at the highest level will decide about the possibility of compensation and amount of compensation. But if this decision is made, it must be produced exclusively from the budget in the budget, that is, may not be such that the Russian budget will have to compensate for something refineries in Belarus,» said carp.

According to him, the Finance Ministry has already calculated how much Belarus will lose from the move. «The main losses of the Belarusian side will occur as a result of rise in cost of oil,» said carp. «Belarusians raised the question of compensation, but the decision if we want to compensate them and how many will be accepted at the highest level until there are no such decisions,» — said carp.

Earlier, the Deputy head of the Ministry of Finance of Belarus Dmitry Kiyko noted that the Agency estimated losses of the budget of the country due to the tax maneuver about $ 300 million in 2019. In this regard he told about the plans to hold negotiations with Russia on ways to compensate the negative impact on the Belarusian economy. Later, the Minister of economy of Belarus Dmitry Krutoy announced that Belarus and Russia have agreed to the end of the year to work out a compensation mechanism for the Belarusian economy in connection with the tax maneuver in the Russian Federation.
