The U.S. postal service issued a series of stamps featuring the world-famous participant «the Liverpool four» The Beatles of John Lennon, reports the New York Post.

According to the publication, the presentation series in Central Park in new York was attended by the wife of musician Yoko Ono and his son Sean Lennon.

The stamp shows a portrait of the artist in his famous round glasses and tousled hair. This photo was taken for his fifth solo album Walls and Bridges («Walls and bridges»), which was released in 1974. This series of brands represented in the colors of the rainbow with the autograph of the musician.

«I took this photo 44 years ago. I never even dreamed that she would become a postage stamp from the United States,» said photographer Bob Gruen.
