The first seven of the precinct electoral commissions on elections of the mayor of Moscow began its work, it is planned that the majority of employees of Regardie that will be involved in policing during celebration of the city Day on Sunday.

Earlier in the meeting, the Public headquarters for the observation of elections of the mayor the Chairman of the Moscow electoral Commission Valentin Gorbunov said that the Commission was approached by the command of Regardie with a request to postpone the beginning of the time of voting two hours early, at 06.00, on the seven polling stations of the capital. Later the decision was made during a meeting of the Mosgorizbirkoma.

«This is because the conscripts who serve in Regardie, these parts will be used on election Day as in the protection of public order at polling stations and in the protection of order during the festive events on the occasion of the city Day. The law allows it», — said the member of the Commission Dmitry Reut.

The celebration of city Day in Moscow this year takes place on 8 and 9 September.

The mayoral elections are held in the capital on September 9. Moscow election Committee has registered five candidates for the post of the acting mayor of Moscow Sergey Sobyanin, the head of the municipal district Taganskaya Ilya Sviridov from «Fair Russia», Deputy of the state Duma Mikhail Degtyarev from the liberal democratic party, former state Duma Deputy Vadim Cumin from the Communist party, as well as the former owner of SU-155 Mikhail Balakin from the party «Union of citizens».
