The Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church Patriarch Kirill began a trip to Khanty-Mansi and the Metropolitan consecrated the Church of the Holy Martyr Tatiana in Kogalym.

After the solemn Liturgy the Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church was transferred to the new temple the ark with the relics of the glorified Saint, brutally injured for their faith in Christ under the Roman power. Also, the Patriarch called on parishioners «gain a new perspective on their relatives, neighbors and colleagues,» and try to bring to life the commandment of love of neighbor.

«What break up marriages? From the fact that the couple love themselves more than the other. No experience of placing another human being in the center of his life. But if you put in the center of the other person, you have the opportunity to love God,» — said in his sermon Patriarch Kirill.

According to him, when the love of another will become the norm, things will change. «Crime will disappear, there will be no need for locks on the doors,» continued the Hierarch.

Kogalym was built in 1976 for the development of large oil fields. In 1985, he received the city status. The Church of St. Tatiana became the second in the settlement.
