«Gazprom Neft» and Mubadala are interested in further cooperation

«Gazprom Neft» and Mubadala are interested in further cooperation on projects in Russia and abroad, discuss opportunities, told reporters the head of the Russian company Alexander Dyukov on the sidelines of the WEF.

«We, as well as Mubadala Petroleum, are interested in our future cooperation on projects in Russia and abroad. Currently, we are discussing a few potential possibilities outside the framework of «Gazpromneft-Vostok» in Russia and the middle East. About any concrete results and agreements talk is premature,» — said Dyukov.

Arabian company Mubadala Petroleum («daughter» of the Fund Mubadala) and the Russian direct investment Fund (RDIF) in early September completed a deal to buy 49% in «Gazpromneft — the East». Under the agreement, which was announced on may 24 «Gazprom Neft» has completed the sale of 49% stake in OOO » Gazpromneft — Vostok «, which is the operator of 13 fields, of Mubadala Petroleum company and the FUND. Following the transaction, «Gazprom Neft» owns 51% of the share capital of the joint venture, Mubadala Petroleum and RDIF — 44% and 5%, respectively.

«Gazpromneft — the East» is a subsidiary of «Gazprom oil» and will continue to serve as operator of the fields. The press release notes that the joint venture on the basis of «Gazpromneft — Vostok» was the first investment project of Mubadala Petroleum in the Russian oil and gas sector. It is also reported that the partners will determine the long-term development strategy of the joint venture, focusing on the efficiency of production and exploration and application of innovative technologies in the development of the inventory of the pre-Jurassic complex.
