When using electronic cigarettes a significant portion of cancer-causing chemicals deposited in the lungs, the conclusion reached by scientists from the University of Nevada and desert research Institute, it is reported portal EurekAlert!.

In the experiment, experts have analyzed the concentration in the body 12 people before and after using electronic cigarettes aldehydes dangerous toxins, some of which cause cancer.

Scientists compared the level of toxins in the smoke from electronic cigarettes in the exhaled breath of the participants in the process of Smoking the air.

The results of the experiment were able to establish that the average concentration of aldehydes in the exhaled air in ten and a half times higher after a session of Smoking electronic cigarettes than before.

The scientists also found that the concentration of such hazardous substances such as formaldehyde, breath hundreds of times lower than in the smoke of the electronic cigarette, indicating the deposition of a significant amount of this substance in the human body.

The experiment demonstrated the potential harm of electronic cigarettes because of the aldehydes in their smoke, the researchers concluded.
