List of countries whose citizens will be able to receive electronic visas to visit the Far East, will grow, in particular this applies to APEC, said the President of Russia Vladimir Putin at the plenary session of the Eastern economic forum (WEF).

Simplified visa regime in the far East came into force on 1 August 2017 for nationals of 18 countries. 8 Aug started a special website of the Russian foreign Ministry for issuing electronic visa. Electronic visa is valid for 30 days from the date of its registration with the permitted duration of stay in Russia up to eight days.

«The spirit of development and openness of the answers and our decision about electronic visas to travel to the far East. Now they work for the residents of the 18 countries that can get all the documents remotely, in a simplified manner. Will work on this further below, the number of States whose citizens could obtain an e-visa to these countries grew. In this regard, including, of course, of the APEC countries», — Putin said.
