The Chairman of Mothersurname Valentin Gorbunov compared the turnout at the Moscow mayoral elections with turnout in the West, noting that in the Russian capital it is higher than Los Angeles and new York.

«The turnout 30,96% broadly in line with the 2013 level, and in comparison with the West is much higher than that in the largest American cities — Los Angeles or new York,» said Gorbunov at the Commission meeting on Wednesday.

Elections of the mayor of Moscow passed on September 9. According to the final data, Sergei Sobyanin scored 70,17% of the votes, voted for by 1 million 582 thousand 762 people.

On the second place eks-the Deputy of the state Duma Vadim Cumin, nominated by the Communist party, gaining of 11.38% of the vote. From 7.01% of the votes third place goes to the head of the municipal district Taganskaya Ilya Sviridov. State Duma Deputy Mikhail Degtyarev from the liberal democratic party and former owner of SU-155, the candidate from the party «Union of citizens» Mikhail Balakin scored 6,72% 1,87% of the vote respectively.

The turnout on the results of processing 100% of protocols was 30.96%.
