The outbreak of cholera recorded in the province of Maradi in southern Niger, victims are already 55 people, said the Office for the coordination of humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) in West and Central Africa.

According to OCHA, during the period from 5 July to 10 September 2018 were recorded 2 thousand 752 cases of cholera, of which 55 resulted in death.

The Management said that the majority of cases (55.6 per cent) were women.
