Inter-parliamentary relations of Russia and the Netherlands is far from ideal, but in the state Duma expect to improve, said the Chairman of the lower house of the Russian Parliament Vyacheslav Volodin at a meeting with the President of the first chamber of the States General of the Netherlands Anki, Brokers-Knol.

«Alas, our relationship is far from perfect, but I think that our meeting today, many issues should be removed, especially when we’re talking about the contacts at the parliamentary level: this is the meeting and dialogue between peoples. Peoples should always be friends, must build relationships, and politicians should do everything to create conditions and opportunities», — said during the meeting Volodin.

He noted that currently inter-parliamentary relations of Russia and the Netherlands have no understanding, and called it unacceptable. «We believe that the state of our relations, which can be described as not only the absence of any contact, but the absolute lack of understanding that perhaps the worst is unacceptable,» — said Volodin.

«The history of relations between our countries are centuries old… and there are those milestones in it that are bringing us closer, so it was properly repelled by these events, and build relationships that could bridge the gap between our countries and peoples and to develop trade, to avoid confusion, which is not our fault happened», — said the Chairman of the state Duma.

Introducing the participants from the state Duma, he noted that parliamentarians are implementing different party programs, but are United in the opinion that to build the relations between the parliaments is required on the principles of trust and non-interference in the Affairs of other countries.

«Despite the fact that we have a different Outlook and we implement different party programs, development of international relations, inter-parliamentary contacts we hold a common position: we believe that we need to build relations on principles of friendship, trust and non-interference in the sovereign Affairs of other States», — said the speaker of the lower house of the Russian Parliament.

During the meeting the sides touched upon the issues of the investigation of the crash of flight MH17 in Eastern Ukraine. Volodin said that in connection with this investigation in the Russian Federation heard the unfounded accusations.

«Not possible, through dialogue, to reach understanding and trust. In this regard, I can say only one thing: when accusations against Russia, but not trying to listen to our point of view, not engaged in dialogue. This suggests that either afraid of something or they are not grounded and are in the nature of attempts to form an image of the enemy», — said Volodin.

Malaysian Boeing 777 flying from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur that crashed on 17 July 2014 near Donetsk. On Board were 298 people, they all died. Kiev has blamed the disaster militias, those announced that did not have the means that would shoot down aircraft at this altitude.

An international investigation team JIT had earlier presented the interim results of the investigation. The investigation claims that Boeing was shot down by a SAM «Buk», belonging to the 53rd antiaircraft missile brigade of the armed forces of the Kursk. The investigators found it difficult to answer when and which court will be transferred to the results of the investigation.

The Russian foreign Ministry said that allegations of JIT in the Russian involvement in the collapse of the Malaysian Boeing unfounded and regrettable, the investigation is biased and one-sided. Later, Russian President Vladimir Putin noted that Russia does not allow for the investigation of the crash of the airliner in Eastern Ukraine, and Moscow may recognize the results of the investigation, if it is to be meaningful. All of the rocket engine which demonstrated the Dutch Commission for the investigation of the crash, had been disposed of after 2011, said the Ministry of defense of Russia. Press Secretary of the President Dmitry Peskov has repeatedly said that Russia categorically rejects allegations of involvement in the collapse of the Malaysian Boeing.
