More than 4 billion rubles allocated from the Federal budget on development of system of palliative help to children, told reporters on Wednesday authorized under the RF President on the rights of the child Anna Kuznetsova.

Kuznetsova on Tuesday and Wednesday in St. Petersburg participated in the international seminar «protection of the rights of children with disabilities and children and disabilities». Wednesday Kuznetsova visited the house-boarding school for children with deviations in mental development No. 3 in Ushkovo settlement.

Earlier Kuznetsova in St. Petersburg said that the development of palliative aid to children in Russia is «leaps and bounds».

«Today there are online – this social organization, this system, which is developed and adopted by the new documents, and those more than 4 billion rubles allocated by the Federation for palliative care. This is a fairly serious money,» said Kuznetsova.

However, according to the children’s Ombudsman, only 19 regions of Russia have at least some types of children’s palliative care. Moreover, in some regions, for example, in the Novgorod region, palliative care is «zero development», noted Kuznetsov.

«Palliative care is a fairly young, but I see that it develops such a high rate, even compared with such counterparts in Finland. They said themselves that they just do not. Although in some areas they have to look at. I believe that, given the pace at which developing palliative care service in Russia, good enough prospects», — said children’s Ombudsman.
