The state Duma Committee for security and combating corruption issued a negative opinion on the draft law excludes criminal liability for reposts on the Internet.

The head of the Committee Vasily Piskarev said that the project has not previously supported the Russian government and the Supreme court.

«The idea of legally prescribed incorrectly. Need differently formulated, then we will work, communicate with experts. The project is not supported by anyone,» — said the Piskarev reporters.

At the end of June deputies of the state Duma Alexey Zhuravlev and Sergey Shargunov introduced a package of bills that exclude criminal liability for reposts on the Internet. The purpose of the bill is to «establish a fair liability for the acts of minor degree of public danger and because they can not considered a criminal offense, for instance, reposts, posts and news in social networks and other resources» of the Internet, the authors of the initiative.

The head of the Duma Committee on state construction and legislation Pavel Krasheninnikov said that the Committee will not support the current wording of the document. The Commissioner for human rights in Russia, Tatiana Moskalkova, in turn, supported the project.
