Russia approaches the issue of concluding a peace Treaty with Japan, not guided by economic calculation, and a desire to maintain good relations, told reporters at the final press conference of the presidential envoy in the far East Deputy Prime Minister Yuri Trutnev.

At the plenary session on Wednesday at the Eastern economic forum in Vladivostok with the participation of Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe, Russian President Vladimir Putin made a proposal to conclude a peace Treaty before the end of this year, without preconditions. The Russian leader said that the talks are 70 years, and Prime Minister Abe of Japan, a proposal was made to change approaches. In this context, Putin suggested a peace Treaty.

«Peace in relationships creates the Foundation on which any relationship. It’s not a matter of exchange: I — I told you. What the WEF has become a platform, on which occurs the meeting of Putin with leaders of the Asia-Pacific region, is of fundamental importance. Here do not evaluate the economic effect,» — said Trutnev.

According to him, in this case, Russia does not consider possible investment, as the case is in good neighbourly relations.
