Russian cosmonauts in November and December can make two unscheduled spacewalk, to find out if on the surface of the spacecraft «Soyuz MS-09» through hole, said on Friday, RIA Novosti source in the space industry.

«It is planned to carry out an unscheduled spacewalk in November. This work has occurred recently and is not in the schedule of works. Officially it is dedicated to the service of communications on the outer surface of the International space station, but the crew also examines the surface of the Soyuz spacecraft for signs of damage,» — said the Agency interlocutor.

Given that «Union» does not supply special rails along which can move the astronauts to survey the ship, one of them will stand in a special cargo crane «Strela», and the second driving arm, brings it to the ship.

In addition, we are talking about the possibility of a second unscheduled exit in November and December in case the astronauts will not be able to perform all tasks for a single output.

Information about the planned EVAs in the end of October-November RIA Novosti news Agency was confirmed by a second source in the industry.

Air leaks on the ISS found two weeks ago, on the night of August 30. The crew checked all compartments and found, according to the head of the Roscosmos, Dmitry Rogozin, «hairline fracture» in the spacecraft «Soyuz MS-09». It was located in the living compartment, not in the descent module, so do not threaten the return of the spacecraft to the Ground.

Subsequently, two source RIA Novosti reported that the reason for the leak was probably a manufacturing defect — drilled on the Earth hole in the inner hull. While earlier it was believed that the crack formed due to the penetration of the micrometeoroid.

An internal investigation of RSC Energia, the manufacturer of the ship, admitted the premeditation and man-made holes from the drill, but was unable to find the culprits, pointed out another source of the Agency.
