The state Duma Committee on ecology and environment has sent a request to the interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev and Prosecutor General Yuri Chaika with a demand to hold investigation against one of the enterprises of the Rostov region, where birds were crushed by a bulldozer, reported RIA Novosti head of the Duma Committee Vladimir burmatov.

The MP said that from the reports from the region and posted online the video has received information that workers of the poultry farm «Evrodon» in Rostov oblast, a bulldozer destroyed the live chickens turkeys.

«The Committee requires to investigate these facts, because, in our view, this clearly falls under article 245 of the criminal code. This is cruelty to animals, on the one hand, and on the other hand is simply a barbarism, savagery and the middle ages», — said Burmatov.

He said that requests the Committee sent Friday to the interior Ministry and Prosecutor General’s office.

«Naturally, we ask the police to step in because it is a criminal offence is committed, and we ask the Prosecutor to connect. Perhaps there are still some facts that may be uncovered in the course of the investigation,» — said the head of the Committee.

«We need to find out who gave the order to do it, not whether there had been such events before, where you brought this dead bird later. If such disregard for the law demonstrated here, we can assume that other actions also had the character of rough violations of the law,» — said the MP.

In a press-service of the company «Evrodon» said appeared on the web videos is an official investigation, as they indicate an obvious violation of the technology and experts that allowed them, will be punished. This attitude to animals in the company called a retreat from technology and universal standards.
