The average turnout at the last in the single voting day on 9 September by-election of deputies of the state Duma was 29,42%, said at a meeting of the CEC Deputy head of Department Nikolay Bulaev.

«The average turnout in the elections of deputies of the state Duma was 29,42%. When they say that the turnout is not high, I refer in 2017 is by-elections in two single-mandate constituencies, where we had about 31%. Voter turnout is comparable,» said he.

The elections to the state Duma on 9 September was held in seven single-member districts as the relevant parliamentary seats became vacant earlier. Generally, such by-election has affected six regions — Saratov, Amur, Kaliningrad, Nizhny Novgorod, Samara and Tver regions.
