Sergey Kravchuk, who won elections of the mayor of Khabarovsk, shall take office on 19 September, reported RIA Novosti the representative of the press service.

Residents of Khabarovsk on 9 September was chosen mayor of the city. Won the Vice-mayor of the EP Sergei Kravchuk, typing of 39.97% of the vote. Second place went to Maksim Kukushkin from the Communist party from 23.85%. Just participating in the voting adopted 31,81% of the voters. For mayor claimed four.

Earlier it was reported that Kravchuk will replace Alexander Sokolov, who was the mayor of Khabarovsk for 18 years and was four times elected to this position, including during severe flooding on the Amur river in 2013. Reporters Sokolov said that «knowingly» did not go to new elections.
