A number of migrant communities in Germany, as well as some charitable and voluntary organization for migration and anti-racism sent to the Minister of internal Affairs of Germany Horst Seehofer open letter with the requirement to resign on the background of his recent comments on migration issues, according to TV channel N-TV.

Earlier, the Minister of internal Affairs of Germany, Horst Seehofer, said that the immigration issue is the root of all political problems in the country.

The TV channel notes that among the signatories of the letter is a charitable organization Schuelerpaten Deutschland, Neue Deutsche Organisationen Association, the Turkish community in Germany, the Central Council of Serbia in Germany and others.

According to the authors of the open letter, Seehofer isn’t taking seriously the threat from right-wing movement in Germany, and therefore can not protect the interests of all citizens of the country.

«As citizens (Germany — ed.) now we are very worried for our country. We’re worried because right-wing extremists dominate the news, cause on the street of foreigners, with us in mind! We are shocked by Nazi salutes and remember what this country once was not able to overcome the origins (of the Nazis — ed.). We worry because we and our children can’t move around freely and safely because of our appearance, our names, or beliefs,» reads a letter sent Seehofer.
