The judge Svyatoshinsky regional court of Kiev Sergey Dyachuk, who leads the case about the deaths of people during «euromaidan» in 2014, was attacked near his house in Kyiv, according to the website of the Council of judges of Ukraine.

«Tonight (on Friday — ed.) was attacked on the judge Sviatoshynsky district court of Kyiv Sergey Dyachuk,» — said in the message, which States that the incident occurred near the house of the judge.

It is noted that the judge hearing the case about the events on the Maidan, were hospitalized, the assailant has not been apprehended. He Dyachuk, according to the press service, link the attack to his professional activities.

The main Kiev square — Maidan Nezalezhnosti (Independence square) — was occupied by supporters of European integration November 21, 2013, immediately after the statement of the government Mykola Azarov to suspend the signing of the Association agreement with the EU. Later Maidan became the epicenter of confrontation between security forces and radicals.
