The man who attacked the judge Svyatoshinsky regional court of Kiev Sergey Dyachuk, who leads the case about the deaths of people during «euromaidan» in 2014, detained, reported on the website of national police of Kiev.

Earlier it was reported that the judge was attacked near his house in Kiev.

«Metropolitan police officers identified the suspect and arrested him. He was a resident of Kiev, born in 1964. Currently, the attacker gives explanations to the investigators of the Sviatoshynsky police Department», — is spoken in the message.

It added that the criminal proceedings under article «Hooliganism». The sanction of article provides punishment till seven years of imprisonment.

The main Kiev square — Maidan Nezalezhnosti (Independence square) — was occupied by supporters of European integration November 21, 2013, immediately after the statement of the government Mykola Azarov to suspend the signing of the Association agreement with the EU. Later Maidan became the epicenter of confrontation between security forces and radicals.

Responsible for the death of over 100 people for the new Ukrainian authorities laid on his political opponent, ex — President Viktor Yanukovych and interior Ministry special forces «Berkut». Yanukovych and «Berkut» have denied involvement in the killings. After the coup, the special division «Berkut» was disbanded.
