The conditions for granting EU macro-financial assistance to Ukraine is including the implementation of a number of anti-corruption measures, but also sale of state assets, said on Friday President of the European Commission on the Euro and financial stability Valdis Dombrovskis, quoted by Bloomberg.

Earlier on Friday Ukraine and the EU signed the fourth programme of macro-financial assistance to the country in the amount of 1 billion euros.

«Receiving two tranches of $ 500 million of macropomum from the EU (first in autumn, second in spring 2019) will depend on the implementation by Ukraine of conditions», — quotes Agency Dombrovskis conference «Yalta European strategy».

«Conditions of the first tranche are to unlock funding from the IMF, the beginning of the sale of state assets, improving corporate governance of public companies, ensuring sufficient funding for the activities of the anti-corruption court,» — said Dombrovskis.

Ukraine also needs to ensure effective verification of information on beneficial ownership of companies, as well as create an automated system for verification of electronic declarations of assets of officials, he added.

Previous financial aid program with funding of 1.8 billion euros was approved for Ukraine in 2015. Of this amount, the country was granted 1.2 billion euros in exchange for reforms. However, the last tranche of the European Commission as programme Manager country has provided, as its authorities have not fulfilled a number of conditions, including reforms in the fight against corruption.
