The position of Russia and Ukraine in the UN ranking of human development speaks for itself, says Russian Senator Alexey Pushkov.

In the list of most developed countries out of 189 countries, Russia ranked 49th place, Georgia — 70, Ukraine — 88. Topped the rating of Norway.

According to Pushkov, this situation demonstrates the results of the work of the current leadership of Ukraine and other Pro-Western former Soviet countries.

«Not helping them «European integration». That’s the price «victories» Poroshenko — a place of honor on the margins of Europe,» the Senator wrote on Twitter.

The human development index is an indicator calculated annually for cross-national measurement of quality of life. Its calculation requires the coefficients based on three main indicators: life expectancy, literacy and standard of living.
