The representative of the Ministry of health in rebel-controlled Sanaa Youssef al-Hadari said on Twitter that nine people were killed in Yemen due to cholera, seven of them children.

In late August, the official representative of the UN Secretary General Stefan Dujarric said that the world organization has vaccinated nearly 400 thousand people in this country, but fears of a new epidemic persist. The head of the press office said that from April 2017 recorded more than 1.1 million suspected cases and more than 2.3 thousand deaths from cholera, «which has become the largest outbreak in history.»

«The number of deaths from cholera amounted to nine people, five of them female and four male, seven of them children,» said al-Hadari.

Saudi newspaper Okaz reported that the hospital of the border with Yemen, the area of Jizan, four cases of suspected cholera, all patients are not citizens of Saudi Arabia.

In Yemen from August 2014, the confrontation between government forces and rebels-Houthis. In the most active phase it moved with the invasion in March 2015, the coalition, led by Saudi Arabia.
