Russia and Hungary have agreed on the parameters of Russian gas supplies in 2020, said Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, after talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

«With regard to energy issues, we were able to agree on the supply to 2020», — said Orban.

The current contract on Russian gas supplies to Hungary expires in 2020. On the eve of the talks between Putin and Orban, foreign Minister of Hungary Peter Siarto said that the options of gas supplies to 2019 was agreed, and the main objective of the talks is to define the volumes and prices for 2020. In addition, he said that Hungary expects to continue to buy Russian gas after 2020.
