The office of the Prosecutor General’s office in the Siberian Federal district approved the indictment in the case of the wife of the former Governor of Novosibirsk region Vasily Yurchenko Natalia not to notify the availability of a residence permit in Austria.

«The indictment in a criminal case under article 330.2 of the criminal code in respect of a resident of Novosibirsk, a Russian citizen approved on Wednesday, soon it will be considered by the world judge of the Railway district», — told RIA Novosti the representative of the office.

In turn, familiar with the progress of the investigation, the source said RIA Novosti that we are talking about the wife of the former Governor of the region Natalia Yurchenko.

About excitation of criminal case against the wife of Vasily Yurchenko, the Russian Investigative Committee reported on 15 July 2016. According to investigators, in November 2014, Natalia Yurchenko had in Austria a residence permit with validity period from November 2014 to November 2017, however, in violation of the law has not filed a written notice to the Federal migration service.

The penalty provisions for «non-performance of the obligation to serve notice of the presence of citizenship of a foreign state or a residence permit» is punishable with a fine or compulsory work.

Vasily Yurchenko was the Governor of the Novosibirsk region from 2010 to 2014, and before that for five years held the position of first Vice-the Governor. In March 2014 Yurchenko lost his post «in connection with loss of trust», and in may, the investigators instituted the criminal case against him first about negligence (the decision subsequently overturned by the Prosecutor), and then in August on abuse of power. In October 2017, the court found the former officer guilty of excess of powers of office at sale of land in the centre of Novosibirsk and sentenced him to three years of imprisonment conditionally.
