The mayor of Komsomolsk-on-Amur has resigned

The mayor of Komsomolsk-on-Amur Andrei Klimov resigned at the suggestion of the Governor of Khabarovsk territory Vyacheslav Shport, said RIA Novosti in the government of the province.

Earlier Shport recommended Klimov to improve the population or to delegate someone who will be able to do it.

«At the suggestion of the Governor Shport due to insufficient attention to the problems of the population the mayor of Komsomolsk-on-Amur Andrei Klimov resigned,» — said RIA Novosti in the government.

Klimov led the city in 2014, its authority ended in September 2019.

Komsomolsk-on-Amur — the second largest city in Khabarovsk Krai, there are concentrated large industrial establishments, aircraft building and shipbuilding plants, which produces civilian and military ships, refineries, steel production is created by THOR. It is the first city in Russia, where implementing a long-term plan for comprehensive socio-economic development, which will also built roads and social facilities.

In the first round of elections of the Governor of the acting head of region United Russia Vyacheslav Shport has received the 35,62% of the vote, losing 0.19 percent, deputies of the state Duma from LDPR Sergey Furgal. The turnout was 36,09%. A second vote is scheduled for September 23.
