In St. Petersburg will host the festival of European cultural heritage

The fourth international festival «Discover your Europe in the Hermitage» will be held on Saturday at the Main headquarters, where 18 participating countries will hold a culture fair.

«The main and most colorful part of the program – fair crops. Thirteen workshops, lectures and eleven, seven film screenings, intellectual quizzes, musical performances – one Saturday afternoon 18 of the participating countries will involve the guests of the festival in a variety of types of creative activities,» according to the Museum.

Experience the culture of different countries will be on the exhibitions of participating countries, which will be held in an unusual format. So, the history of Lithuania will be available via «parcel post» – an interactive exhibition of mail boxes in which are hidden the secrets of the cultural heritage of the country.

Children will have the opportunity to learn the basics drevnekeltskogo art of vase painting and sculpture, to meet with Hungarian, Swedish and Norwegian literature, as well as to participate in the master class LEGO. The festival will open «Area Smurfs» and an exhibition of comics about Mumi-trolls, will also give a master class «Drakkar Viking».

Under the arch of the General headquarters of the festival visitors will find outdoor games from the Nordic countries, including the «Nordic camps», and hobbyhorses (dressage and jump obstacles on a homemade toy horses).

In the lecture hall of the Chief of staff will hold classes for 13 foreign languages, and in the area of film screenings, meetings with the filmmakers, including Director PIM SWIR (Netherlands), who will present the painting «the Builders of the future», and the producer is Elvita Ruka, which tells about the rescue of the cultural heritage of Latvia during world war II and will present the film «Journey of Mary».

IV international festival «Discover your Europe in the Hermitage» will last from 11.00 to 21.00. Admission is free.
