More than 5 billion roubles will allocate the government for retraining programs for people of retirement age in 2019, told reporters the head of Rostrud Vsevolod Vukolov.

He said that on behalf of the President today is almost generated proposals for the creation of retraining programs for people of retirement age.

The announcement was made during the finals of the national championship «Skills wise» for professionals over 50.

Today the employment service should set up a system jointly with the Federal Executive authorities responsible for education At the Federal level the money allocated next year, with more than 5 billion rubles so that we could build this mechanism,» — said the head of the Fes.

Vukolov said that the mechanism will consist of two parts. «The company will retrain its employees close to retirement age so that they could continue working. Employee who has attained retirement age, with employment can use the appropriate program of training, they will be from three to six months for those professions which today will be identified by the regions as a necessary and paramount,» said Vukolov.

He also added that now the regions are working actively to understand what the situation on the labour market in the coming year, and three for the entire stated period. On this basis, will develop a training program.

Now the standard age of retirement in Russia is 60 and 55 years for men and women respectively prescribed by law the retirement age established in the 1930-ies. The question of raising the retirement age has been discussed for quite some time. The need for this is caused by growing life expectancy and the inability to provide a decent pension in circumstances when the number of employees in the country decreases, while the number of pensioners, by contrast, is growing. Today, in most countries the retirement age is 60-65 years.
