Kazakh specialists, previously trained rocket «proton» launches at Baikonur, translated and are being retrained on the objects, which Russia sends to Kazakhstan in the framework of the project «Baiterek», reported RIA Novosti a source at the cosmodrome.

«A large part of Kazakhstani specialists working in the calculations for the preparation and launch rockets «proton», translated in the objects passed to it, where students study technique and operational documentation and are already involved in the maintenance of equipment and instruments,» — said the Agency interlocutor.

However, he noted that Kazakhstan has already passed the Assembly and test building at the site of the 42nd spaceport launch complex at site 45 and the supporting infrastructure. It will be operated by Kazakh specialists.

«The process of documentary registration of the transfer, which will have to end with the signing of the relevant documents at the governmental level,» the source added.

The interlocutor of Agency has reminded that the agreement on the program «Baiterek» was signed between Russia and Kazakhstan in 2004, and at the end of 2017 was amended, according to which the baseline missile for the implementation of the project was the launch vehicle «Soyuz-5» which launches from Baikonur will be called «Sunkar».
