The second round of gubernatorial elections will be held on Sunday in Khabarovsk Krai and Vladimir oblast.

In the single voting day September 9, none of the candidates for chairs of heads of these regions could not gain the necessary number of votes. In the gubernatorial elections in Russia use the majority system, when to win a candidate must gain 50% + one vote.

The second round of elections of the head of Khakassia, previously scheduled for September 23, was postponed to October 7 due to the failure of one of the candidates from the further struggle.

In the Khabarovsk territory in the second round are the acting head of the region Vyacheslav Shport from the «United Russia» and the Deputy of the state Duma Sergei Furgal from the liberal democratic party. In the first round they turnout 36,09% gained almost an equal number of votes: Shport 35,62%, Furgal 35,81%.

In the Vladimir region on a post of the head of the region claimed by the candidate from «United Russia», the acting Governor Svetlana Orlova and the candidate from LDPR Vladimir Sipyagin. In the first round with a turnout of 32,96% Orlova has received 36,42%, Sipyagin 31,19%.

In Khakassia the Republic’s residents had to choose between a representative of the Communist party Valentin Konovalov and the current head of Khakassia, the candidate from «United Russia» Viktor Zimin. But Zimin withdrew from the second round, which will now be held in two weeks with the participation of Konovalov and the promoted worker «Fair Russia» Andrei Filapina, who took third place in the first round. According to the national electoral Commission, Zimin withdrew his candidacy for health reasons.
