The acting Governor of the Vladimir region Svetlana Orlova, who has lost on elections of the head region candidate from the liberal democratic party, failed to overcome the trend of protest voting in the second round, which has shown itself in several other regions, the Director of the Centre for social innovation «Black cube» Yuri kolomeytsev.

According to the results of processing 100% of protocols of voting on elections of the head of the Vladimir region, the candidate from LDPR Vladimir Sipiagin scored 57,03% of the votes, while the eagles — 37,46%.

«The election of the Governor of the Vladimir region was on a similar scenario with a vote for the head of Primorye. The candidate from LDPR Vladimir Sipiagin before the election campaign clearly looked the favorite, or at least a contender for the Governor’s chair. But after the gap between him and the eagles in the first round was only a few percent — and in Primorye we saw recently a little-known opposition bypasses the Governor — Sipyagin victory in elections largely could have been predicted,» said Kolomeitsev RIA Novosti.

According to him, Orlov, despite his electoral experience, could hardly cope with the trend this year in the elections. «It can be expressed in the following words: could not gain 50% in the first round, wait for the protest vote in the second,» — said the analyst.

He added that elections in the Vladimir region were «noticeably cleaner» compared to the Seaside region.

«Three days ago, Orlov acknowledged errors in the work of his government against the background of a controversial election in Primorye, apparently, already realizing that her chances for re-election are small. The voters voted for the protest, as in the Primorsky and Khabarovsk territories» — summed up the latter.
