Deputies of the state Assembly of Yakutia of the new convocation at the first plenary session on Tuesday was re-elected Alexander Akimova representative of the Parliament of the Republic in the Federation Council, reported the press service of the head and governments of the region.

Elections of deputies of the Parliament of the Republic took place on 9 September. Earlier, the deputies of the Parliament from the party «United Russia» and members of the regional Council of the party chose Akimova a candidate member of the Federation Council.

For Akimova voted 60 deputies, against — six, and no abstentions.

Akimov is a Senator in the upper house of the Russian Parliament in 2013, where it replaces the Chairman of the Committee for Federative structure, regional policy, local government and Northern Affairs.
