The first phase of the enterprise for growing mushrooms, with a capacity of 25 thousand tons per year opened on Tuesday in the special economic zone «Uzlovaya» in the Tula region, told RIA Novosti the representative of the press service of the regional government.

The opening ceremony was attended by first Deputy Minister of agriculture of Russia Dzhambulat Hatuov and the Governor of Tula region Alexey Dyumin.

The plant will initially supply the market with ten thousand tons of mushrooms per year. Completely the project will be implemented by 2020. By this time, the company will close a third of the needs of the Russian «mushroom» of the market. The production volume will increase to 25 thousand tons per year. Construction of hothouse complex for growing mushrooms involves investment of a total of more than nine billion rubles. The results of the project will create more than 900 jobs, said the press service.

Special economic zone the «Hub» was created in 2016. Its total area is 471,5 hectare. Currently in SEZ implement their investment projects nine residents, including the company «Agrohim». When placing productions on the territory of SEZ «Hub» for the residents represented a wide range of tax incentives, such as reduced rates for income tax, property tax, transport tax. A procedure of free customs zone.
