Fuel company of Rosatom TVEL has formed the portfolio of orders for their 3D printers for industrial metal print, told journalists the Vice-President of TVEL for the development of the General business activities of Andrey Andrianov.

«Today we are preparing to release to the market a second-generation additive machines industrial applications. Until the end of the year, all the modes of operation needs to be debugged and this product will be applicable for industrial purposes,» said Andrianov on the sidelines of the forum NDExpo-2018.

«The already formed orders portfolio. It’s about ten cars that can be sold on the market. But this, of course, depends on how we practice to confirm design parameters», — he added.

Earlier it was reported that the mass production of 3D printers of the second generation is expected to begin before the end of 2018 at the site in Novouralsk of the Sverdlovsk region, where two enterprises of TVEL — Ural electrochemical plant (UECP) and scientific-production Association «centrotekh».

We are talking about modular 3D printers for metal SLM printing (selective laser melting; selective laser melting), which allow you to create products based on a digital model. The main feature of the machine is modular structure the basic work items, enabling you to quickly set up the equipment for a specific task production.

One of the key directions of strategy of innovative development of Rosatom determined additive technology, allowing you to (print) on special printers are very different and, moreover, complex three-dimensional objects. In this case we are talking about the technology of metallurgy additive, where the «farming» of desired objects takes place with metal powders.
