The head of the Spiritual administration of Muslims of Tatarstan (DUM RT) Kamil Samigullin and a member of the Public chamber, Archpriest Alexander Tkachenko during a meeting in Kazan made plans social support society.

Representatives of the two faiths, speaking to students of the Higher school of journalism and media communications at Kazan Federal University (KFU) noted that today the parishioners of mosques and churches badly needed social support.

«For example, we work a lot with those who were in prison. These people will be released over time at freedom, they need to find a job, form a family, to have children. We are trying to resolve these issues with these citizens directly in the colonies,» — said mufti Kamil Samigullin.

Archpriest Alexander Tkachenko, also holding the post of Director of the Children’s hospice of St. Petersburg, urged the University students to write about the topic of helping others in a valid and ethical form.

«A very important aspect is the personal involvement of the journalist in charity. Any journalist that describes the social problem, passes it through itself, is included in it. And he becomes a participant in this process», — said Archpriest Alexander Tkachenko.

In his opinion, children with serious illnesses, family problems, problems related to the environment, accessibility of the environment, treatment of animals, and many other require a very careful approach.

«It is important not to harm the heroes of these publications», — said the Archpriest Alexander Tkachenko.

Religious leaders noted that the traditional confessions in Russia play an important role in social service. They also emphasized on common approaches to ethics in the coverage of social problems.

«During our meetings and negotiations with Tkachenko we have developed joint projects for help and support to children, elderly people, work with state institutions and organizations. But implementation of these plans – a matter of time», — concluded the mufti Samigullin.
